About

ACT was set up to achieve social change.  We have two charitable objectives:

A.    The advancement of the Christian religion.

 B.    The relief of sickness, poverty and distress in any part of the world as an expression of Christian love.

We welcome applications from both secular and Christian organisations who are also wanting to achieve social change.

Available Funding

ACT earns it’s money annually as shareholders of Andrews & Partners.  As such, the funding available to give out as grants varies from year to year.  Over the past ten years, a total of between £2-400,000 has been given out to successful applicants.  There is no specific allocation of funding between the two charitable objectives but rather applications are assessed for their “fit” with the criteria detailed below and are funded on merit, providing funds are available.

Grants and other types of investment are given for periods of between 2-7 years.  The grant size depends on the needs of each individual organisation and on their ability to utilize the money.  This is assessed as part of the application process (please read applications process page).  We have also provided loans and alternative investment support, though this is not common.
